Event Summary:
A family friendly race, fun run, or walk on Thanksgiving Day in Bethesda. Course is short but hilly: just under 3 miles for adults, .6 miles for kids under 12. A low key event to help race money for Jevaia International.
Event Details:

Race to the Rock benefits Jevaia International, a non-profit organization providing human-rights based health care for thousands of people in rural Nepal.  Our fun run is short but challenging and friendly to families with kids of all ages.

Adult Run: 2.4 Miles

Youth Run (Ages 12 and Under): .6 Miles 

At Race to the Rock, the emphasis is on FUN!  Costumes, accessories, and all modes of non-motorized transportation (bikes, skateboards, scooters, strollers) are welcome. Contribute art, writing and ideas to the Wall of Creativity. All are welcome, whether you are running, walking, rolling, crawling, or cheering for others.



Prizes will be awarded for creative costumes and for racing with an item that would have been useful on the Mayflower, and of course, to the fastest runners.

Event Schedule:

8am – Registration and Opening of Silent Auction (Please help us by registering ahead of time!)

8:30 – Check-in for pre-registered runners
9:00 – Race Kick Off
9:45-10:15 – Silent Auction, Refreshments & Award Ceremony
10:30 – Closing Ceremony & Raffle Drawing


Pre-Race Pizza and Poster-Making Party!

Artists, we need you! Kids of all ages are invited to a pre-race Pizza Party in Greenwich Forest Sunday prior to the event to create signs honoring businesses sponsors. The Poster Party is free and open to kids of all ages - a great way to introduce your kids to friends who they'll see again at the race.  Contact Laura at 301-580-6689 or laura@jevaia.org
