Date, Time, & Place: Sunday, October 27, 2013 at 8:00 a.m. beginning at Morningside Park at the Alex Haley Statue and finishing at Bearden Elementary School.

Course Description and Highlights: USATF certified TN10022MS. The 15K is a point to point race run almost entirely on Knoxville's greenways.

Registration & Entry Fee: Cost is $30 for all mail-in entries. Mail-in entries must be postmarked no later than Thursday, October 17, 2013. No t-shirt - deduct $10 anytime. Race day registration is from 6:00 -7:15 a.m. at Bearden Elementary School. To receive an early registration and KTC member discounts, please go to www.ktc.org/RaceCrossKnox.html and register online. No refunds and no transfers.

Training Runs: The KTC is proud to present free group training runs for this event. The program will start September 7 and participants will meet weekly on Saturdays at 8 am to run or walk various distances and sections of the race route.

T-shirts: Long-sleeved shirts. Pre-registered runners will receive shirts at packet pick-up or on race day. Late registrants as supplies last or at a later date.

Transportation Back to Morningside Park: Prior to the race start, buses will transport runners from Bearden Elementary to Morningside Park from 6am to 7:15am.

Awards: Awards to top 3 Overall, top Masters (40+), Grandmasters (50+), Senior Grandmasters(60+) for Male and Female. Also, awards to the top Clydesdale (male, 200 lbs+) and Athena (female, 150 lbs+) runners. Overall winners not eligible for age division awards (three deep). Awards must be picked up during the awards ceremony or at Runners Market at Western Plaza beginning Monday, October 29. Age division awards will not be mailed.

Team Competition: This race is on the Grand Prix Team Competition schedule. Please visit www.ktc.org for details. Teams must pre-register.

Grand Prix Points: 2013 Grand Prix Points awarded. Remember, to be eligible for Grand Prix awards, you must be a member of the KTC and you must volunteer for at least 3 events.

Refreshments: Refreshments provided for participants only after the run/walk at Bearden Elementary School.

Results: Compete results will be emailed to participants who have provided email address and they will be available on the KTC Website at www.ktc.org.

Race Etiquette: Due to insurance regulations, roller blades, strollers, bicycles, and dogs are not allowed on the course. The course closes in 2 hours and 30 minutes.
