Sign in volunteers, direct them to positions, hand out lanyards & volunteer hats.
Set Up & Start/Finish Line
8 AM-11 AM
Set up & break down of gorilla tent and start/finish line; place banners on gorilla tent and start/finish line area; organize starting sequence
Event Set Up
Pre-race event set up. Follow site plan and set up tents, tables, chairs, trash cans, banners, etc. for event and after party.
Welcome participants to event, direct them to parking and registration/ticket sales/donations/retail booth locations, direct vendors to their booths.
8 AM-12 PM
Set-up registration area (banners, tables, gorilla suits, shirts, bibs, race bags), process event day registrations, distribute gorilla suits, bibs, and race packets. Breakdown of registration booth.
Bag Drop Booth
9:30 AM-1:30 PM
Label & store participant items in bag check booth as well as return items when they come to retrieve them.
9 AM-11 AM
Set up costume contest area including tables & forms for judges; Gather & coordinate contestants as they enter the stage; help entrants fill out their forms and provide announcer with contestant's information; help break down costume contest area before race begins.
9:30 AM-12:30 PM
Process event day after party ticket purchases & hand out lanyards.
10 AM-1 PM
Direct participants on the course, cheer on & keep participants safe, keep spectators on side of course, help breakdown course and pick up trash post race.
Water Station #1
Set up water table, cups and make sure the containers of water are there; set up water in cups for runners, provide water to runners and cheer them on; break down water station, pick up garbage.
Finish Line Recorder
10:30 AM-12:30 PM
Make sure finish line is set up with tape and everything is cleared for runners, make sure water stations at finish line are set up, create chute for runners with cones & tape, make sure recorders are set up with forms & pen to record top place finisher times, bib #'s & names
Water Station - Finish Line
11 AM-1 PM
Silverback After Party Clean Up Shift #1
Help with any long lines, clear table tops, help with trash (make sure trash & recycle bins are emptied if full & replace liners), help with take down / clean up(tents, tables, banners, trash, etc.)
Silverback After Party Clean Up Shift #2
1 PM-3 PM
Clear table tops, help with trash (make sure trash & recycle bins are emptied if full & replace liners), help with take down / clean up(tents, tables, banners, trash, etc.), pack up event, bring bins to trailer
