Event Summary:
The Spring Into Spring 4 Miler is the perfect early season distance. Join the Lynchburg Daily Bread and Lynchburg Road Runners on the Blackwater Creek Bikeway for the 3rd event of the 2013 LRRC Race Series. This out & back course is open to both runners & walkers and begins at Mile Mark 3 near Amazement Square. Proceeds support the Lynchburg Daily Bread.

RACE INFORMATION:

The Spring Into Spring 4 Miler is proud to be the 3rd event in the 2013 Lynchburg Road Runers Race Series.

Start/Finish: Mile mark #3 on the Blackwater Creek Bikeway. Access via the parking lot behind Amazement Square (27 9th Street, Lynchburg, VA  24504)

Start Time:  2:00 pm

Course: Out and back on the Blackwater Creek Bikeway. Course start/finish at 3 Mile Mark.  Course runs through train tunnel and follows path to Kemper Street Entrance (2.0 miles). Participants follow bikeway back to start.

Awards:   Top 3 male/female overall, Top male/female Masters (40yrs+), and top 3 in each age group. Age groups are from 12 & under through 70 & over!

Packet Pickup: Saturday April 27, 12-6 PM, Riverside Runners, 2480 Rivermont Avenue, Lynchburg, VA 24503 and on race day at race site from 1:00-1:45 PM.

WALKERS ARE WELCOME! STROLLERS & PETS PROHIBITED.

The Lynchburg Daily Bread was founded in 1982 by First Presbyterian Church of Lynchburg, we are now an independent 501c-3 charitable organization. For 30 years, Lynchburg Daily Bread has provided a hot meal in a Christian environment to the needy of the Lynchburg area. In 2011, we served 57,106 meals to the homeless and hungry. Lynchburg Daily Bread only exists through the generosity of individuals, businesses and local churches. Less than 5% of our funding is grant-based, and we deeply appreciate our regular donors, including some former guests who faithfully mail in $10-25 each month.
