Event Details:This trail run is on the Willis River Trail in Cumberland, Virginia . It is a five-mile, out and back trail, passing through the Piedmont Hills of Cumberland State Forest and Bear Creek Lake State Park . The run is 95% trail and about 5% dirt road. There are not any significant elevation changes but the trail crosses five creeks and has numerous short hills.

Grand Prix
This is a Richmond Road Runners Club Grand Prix Race. Each year the club runs a series of races and members collect points by placing or volunteering at the events. At the end of the year the male and female winners are announced as the Grand Prix Champions at the club's annual banquet.
Place
The race takes place at Bear Creek Lake State Park in Cumberland, Virginia. It is about 45 minutes from Richmond.
Course
The course is an out and back on trails climbing small hills and crossing streams.
RegistrationRegistration is limited to 150 because of parking. Pre-registration by mail through November 26th. Online registration closes December 2 at 11:59 pm or when the race fills up. No day of race registration.
This race will fill up. Register early.Entry fees are non-refundable and entries are non-transferable, no exceptions. Once we receive and process your entry, you will not receive a refund if you cannot participate.

TimingThe race will be computer timed by the Richmond Road Runners Club. Results will be posted after the race at www.rrrc.org.
Prizes/Awards
Technical t-shirts to all runners. The top three overall male and female finishers will receive prizes/awards. Random prizes complements of Runner Bill's Sports.
Packet Pick-UpPacket pick-up on race day or pre-race on Saturday, 12/5 at Runner Bill's from 10 am to 1 p.m. only.
